Santorum is getting publicity quite a bit recently. We're not very fond of his politics, but he can be amusing to listen to. In a train wreck sort of way.
The news has been more bleak than usual. Ugh.

Yesterday's weather

Yesterday the weather was perfect. We definitely take pleasure in this time of year. The weather forecast for next winter is looking quite harsh. It's time to buy the down jackets!

Manhattan

Just got back from my first visit to Manhattan.  It was great!!  The weather was nice, not too hot, not too cold.  It was more expensive than I'd thought it would be, tho. 

We did all the tourist things -- Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Central Park Zoo.  It was very cool.  And the kids had a great time climbing on those big grey rocks all over Central Park, and chasing the pigeons.
